With vsync, actually with a lot of games it only runs like 1500 mhz anyway and doesn't even need to go higher. (It was boosting to about 1930 mhz on it's own out of the box without touching anything) and I expect it to last me a long, long time. I have it set +60 Mhz in PrecisionX-OC, but with Boost 3.0 that actually results in a 2012 mhz overclock. I bought my 1080 Ti a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Nvidia does not provide a working LED Visualizer version RTX cards. i want to get my cards overclocked to do some testing, but i can't do that because the 2nd card in the system is not boosting up. When paired with an NVIDIA Turing graphics card, the new EVGA Precision X1 will. but the bottom card just sits at base speed, even though kboost is enabled on both cards. the top card in my 980 ti sli setup will go full boost speed when kboost is enabled, just as it should. Im keeping it at 1900mhz and hoping it will work until 1070 prices drop. i have an issue where evga precision x16's kboost feature will not work. Good to know that it doesnt void the warantee. How much is really not possible to determine. It should behoove EVGA to set the cards built-in default GPU target temperature low enough that the full clock-boost can be active as. I noted that the GPU clock-boost is reduced. However, you should bear in mind that -ANY- overclock over stock of any setting, -WILL- shorten the lifespan of the card by some degree. I take this as indication that the settings made by Precision-X are NOT being maintained when Precision-X is not running. And all nvidia pascal cards are voltage locked and it can not be increased.Īs long as you're using an EVGA card and have registered it on the website, overclocking it via software will not void your warranty so no worries.
